È, inoltre, il Presidente dell’Autorità per le Tecnologie dell’Informazione e della Comunicazione (“Autorità ICT”) della Repubblica di San Marino.

È socio fondatore e Partner del Moire Consulting Group.

Dottore di ricerca presso l’Università degli Studi di Foggia, è Academic Fellow della cattedra di Cybersecurity presso il Dipartimento di Studi Giuridici dell’Università Bocconi e collabora anche presso le cattedre di Informatica Giuridica e Informatica Giuridica Avanzata della Facoltà di Giurisprudenza dell’Università degli Studi di Milano.

È membro del Consiglio Direttivo e Presidente della Commissione Sicurezza Cibernetica del Comitato Atlantico Italiano. È Presidente del “Gruppo di lavoro sulla Cybersecurity” della Camera di Commercio americana in Italia (AMCHAM), nonché membro dello “Steering Committee Cyber Security” di Assolombarda. È socio fondatore e Presidente dell’Associazione CyberPARCO.

Stefano è, inoltre, docente presso numerosi istituti di formazione e di ricerca del Ministero della Difesa e del Ministero dell’Interno italiano e della NATO, nonché è autore di numerose pubblicazioni scientifiche e articoli sui temi della cybersecurity, cyber intelligence, cyber terrorismo e cyber warfare.

Nel 2014, la NATO lo ha inserito nella lista dei suoi Key Opinion Leaders for Cyberspace Security.

Nel 2014, la rivista Forbes lo ha inserito tra i 20 migliori Cyber Policy Experts al mondo da seguire in Rete.

Stefano Mele is a Partner in Carnelutti Studio Legale Associato, where he leads the Technology, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Legal Department.

He is also the President of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (“ICT Authority”) of the Republic of San Marino.

He is the founder and Partner of the Moire Consulting Group.

He holds a PhD from the University of Foggia, and is Academic Fellow of Cybersecurity at the Department of Law of the Bocconi University and also teaching assistant with the Department of Legal Informatics at the Faculty of Law of the University of Milan.

He is a member of the Governing Board and President of the “Cybersecurity Commission” of the Italian Atlantic Committee. He is the President of the “Cyber Security Working Group” of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy (AMCHAM), and a member of the “Steering Committee Cyber Security” of Assolombarda. He is the co-founder and President of the non-profit organization CyberPARCO.

Stefano also has lectureships with several universities and military research institutions of the Italian Ministry of Defence and Ministry of the Interior, and of the NATO. He is the author of several academic papers and articles on cybersecurity, cyber intelligence, cyber terrorism and cyber warfare topics.

In 2014, he was included in NATO’s list of Key Opinion Leaders for Cyberspace Security.

In the same year, the business magazine Forbes listed Stefano as one of the world’s best 20 Cyber Policy Experts to follow online.
